RADCLIFFE & POWELL – DON’T LET THE NEGATIVES GET TO YOU

Originally envisioned as a concept album by the duo behind the band ‘TANKS’, Paul Radcliffe and Steve Powell created an ensemble that transcended traditional band boundaries. ‘TANKS’ was not just a group but a collaborative platform, bringing together talented musicians like Hamish Stuart, Scott Johnston, John Young, Jimmy Doyle, Kirk Lorange, Geoff Oakes, Ric Deacon, Andrew Ross, Greg Taylor, Andrew Thomas Wilson, and Andy Evans for their recording sessions. This ambitious project was nurtured over 18 months of intensive work, resulting in two singles released in 1980 and 1981.

Despite the original album never being released, the recent passing of both Paul Radcliffe and Steve Powell spurred Big Island Productions to assemble and release this long-awaited legacy album, ‘Don’t Let the Negatives Get to You.’ This release not only honours their memory but also showcases the depth and complexity of their musical vision.
